How to mix and match your outfits

There are quite a few points to consider when mixing and matching your wardrobe such as style and trend. The seasons and the colors are also important. How will your colors match? Are you matching colors that coordinate with the season? Where will you be wearing your matched outfit? Will it be a casual affair or something more formal? Perhaps you are going to a sporting event or a wedding reception. Will you be in a wedding or will you be planning a wedding? When mixing and matching you will want to mix and match for specific events. Also, you can do a great job mixing and matching to cover all occasions by planning your wardrobe carefully.
Considering color

When mixing and matching your outfits for all occasions you will want to consider color carefully. There are both warm and cool colors. The cool colors are blues, greens and violet. The warm colors are reds, oranges and yellows. Color combinations may also depend on the weather and the season. Is it snowing or raining? Is it warm or cold. Is it summer or spring? Is it winter or fall? Spring indicates the cool colors of greens and blues, but summer will indicate the warm colors of red and orange. Then there is fall and winter indicating fall colors like brown, beige, orange and yellow. Winter colors can be all the colors or something bold such as red and navy blue or black. Never forget that all the colors work for all seasons and weather when you are thinking of style and trend.
Jewelry and accessories

When mixing and matching your wardrobe you will also want to consider jewelry and accessories. Accessories can be shoes, scarves and belts. Jewelry comes in diamonds and different precious stones and gold and silver. You can color coordinate with the jewelry you pick for your outfit or the scarf or shoes you pick. Diamonds are best with white such as the white wedding gown, but pearls are also good with white. If your wedding gown is decorated with rhinestones or sequins, wear diamonds. If your wedding gown is decorated with pearls, wear pearls. Gold and silver are generally good with any color, but the style of the outfit would dictate the type of jewelry. Elegant goes with elegant and trendy goes with trendy.
What about hair and makeup

Hair and makeup are also important when considering how to mix and match your outfits. Wear red lipstick with red accessories or if there is something red in your outfit. Wear pink lipstick only with cool colors or if there is matching pink in the outfit. Orange-based lipsticks would go best with the warm colors. Blonde hair is best with bold colors rather than the pale colors. Dark hair is best with pastels and cool colors.
Coordinating the wardrobe

You will want to have a wardrobe that is color-coordinated and matched for all occasions and seasons. The best way to do this is to first decide what your best colors are. Then begin to choose outfits that match for the fall and winter seasons; and the spring and summer seasons.

Plan a mixed and matched wardrobe for spring and summer. Then plan a wardrobe for fall and winter. Look through your closet first to decide what clothes you will need and how they match up. Generally, count on one item for each day of the week, such as seven pants and seven blouses; and seven dresses and seven jackets. Plan the colors so they can be worn with more than one item of clothes, so that you will have different color combinations and outfits each day. Plan on several sporty-zipper jackets and a variety of suit jackets. Color coordinate your jackets to match up with your dresses and your blouse-skirt combinations. Sporty goes with sporty and dressy goes with dressy.

Remember to have accessories that match in color, trend and style.

Don’t forget traveling. You will need clothes good for travel that also mix and match. Clothes good for travel are made of material that doesn’t wrinkle and won’t need ironing. You might need a few extra clothes that are specifically for travel. Mix and match your travel clothes along with the rest of your wardrobe. Matching your travel clothes to the rest of your wardrobe will mean that you will have a wardrobe that is ready for all occasions.

You might also need extra clothes for formal wear that will only mix and match with formal attire, but this will depend on what you will decide about how you coordinate your lifestyle. If you attend a lot of formal events, be sure to include mixed and matched formal attire, such as evening gowns and jewelry, accessories and wraps to match.

In conclusion, mixing and matching your wardrobe for whatever occasion should include colors, accessories and makeup. Your new mixed and matched wardrobe should also consider style and trend. When mixing and matching also consider the colors best for your particular complexion and hair. Coordinate your wardrobe for all seasons and occasions.
